Sustainably, of course. Innovative since 1961.
Sustainable business conduct is at the core of our corporate DNA. And this has been the case ever since 1961, because even back then, wood was far too valuable for the company founder Fritz Egger Sr. to simply throw it away. He laid the foundation by processing wood waste into high-quality new products.
Working in closed cycles is still a core element of our business model today. We give the valuable resource wood many lives.
We embrace sustainable business practices in all their aspects and take equal responsibility for economic, ecological and social issues. We are guided by clear, transparent facts and our desire to constantly improve – at all locations of our international corporate group.

Our sustainability strategy
The EGGER Group takes responsibility for its products, its production and also for its employees and society. Our sustainability management is based on a clear, Group-wide strategy. We are committed to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations and have defined five strategic priorities based on them.
We provide comprehensive insights into our objectives, measures and achievements. For us, sustainable action is by no means a mere duty. Rather, our central aspiration is management with future generations in mind.

Our contribution
Climate action
We are explicitly committed to the Net Zero target by 2050. By then, we will have drastically reduced our Group-wide carbon footprint. The EGGER way to Net Zero involves comprehensive measures. We are taking it step by step.
Sustainable forestry
The valuable resource wood grows back and removes CO2 from the atmosphere. In the process, carbon is stored in the wood. This means that wood plays an important role in climate protection. The sustainable management of forests is the prerequisite for using wood as a climate-friendly material. We are strong supporters of sustainable forestry.
Circular economy
Working in closed cycles is at the core of our business model. We use sawmill by-products and recycled wood in the production of new, high-quality wood-based materials. This is how we can use wood in many ways. We want to further increase the proportion of recycled wood in the future.
Good jobs
Our employees are the most valuable part of our family business. We want to be the best employer in our respective region. We are driven by the development opportunities of our employees, their satisfaction and, above all, their health and safety.
Green industry
We are committed to using clean and environmentally friendly technologies. We therefore invest continuously in our plants and ensure efficient and sustainable production processes. In this way, we want to continue to fulfil our role as a technological pioneer in the industry in the future.
Sustainable products: Transparency counts
All our sustainability efforts have a common goal: to produce sustainable products for our customers. Our aim is to constantly improve together with our customers.
We stand for a reliable database, transparent product information and expert advice. We provide specific document formats that clearly summarise the environmental performance of our products. In this way, we support our customers in offering even more sustainable solutions.
