EGGER’s facility in Lexington, N.C., is the company’s first manufacturing plant in North America and 20th worldwide. Development and construction of the three-phase project began in 2018.
The first phase, a state-of-the-art particleboard manufacturing plant with lamination capacities, began in September 2020. We now manufacture particle board and TFL onsite.

Over ten years ago, EGGER envisioned expanding the organization to North America. The company set out to find the ideal location to establish a premier manufacturing facility and North American headquarters. After an exhaustive search we found the perfect location nestled along interstate 85 in the heart of North Carolina! The company invested in a brand new, state-of-the-art, manufacturing facility, design and marketing center and a satellite headquarters to support the growing North America market. With over 240 acres, ten buildings, and more than 800,000 square feet, we’ve invested for the future of our team as well as economic growth for the region.
EGGER employs hundreds of people from across the United States in roles ranging from Sales to Logistics. We operate facilities in Lexington, NC, Charlotte, NC, and soon in the Raleigh-Durham, NC area. Our Lexington campus was built with our people in mind, from a clean and comfortable environment to our geographical positioning close to Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Salisbury. The Charlotte, NC operation processes recycled wood at our Timberpak facility and we’re currently in the planning stages of opening another recycling center in Raleigh-Durham also operating under EGGER’s Timberpak brand.
