The Sustainable Development Goal 9 is aimed at building robust infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and supporting innovation. On the one hand, it addresses the economic sphere of sustainability. On the other hand, a sustainability-oriented transformation of infrastructure, research and development, and innovation are the drivers for a sustainable future.

State of the technology

The EGGER Group is constantly investing large sums in its own industrial base. In the last financial year, we invested EUR 569 million Group-wide in maintenance and growth.

Established international standards

We use certifiable, internationally recognised standards and management systems for environmental, energy, safety and quality management. In addition, we want to have more and more plants certified externally.

Continuous improvement

We are working to expand further our high degree of digitalisation and automation. In this way, we can reduce any environmental impact to a minimum.

Our commitment

As a manufacturing company, the EGGER Group bears great responsibility. We are constantly investing in our plants and ensuring effective and sustainable production. We would like to continue to live up to our role as a technological pioneer in the industry.

  • Our standards are stable, state-of-the-art production processes.
  • We deal specifically with technology-driven fields of innovation and are constantly working on optimising the resource-conserving production of our wood-based materials.
  • This includes many aspects such as energy reduction, resource efficiency, waste avoidance, emission reduction, water consumption or environmentally friendly logistics.
  • We aim to have integrated locations for raw materials, energy and our strategic product groups. In this way, we ensure short distances, supported by our uniform, digitised processes.
  • At our production sites, we use state-of-the-art technology, such as modern wastewater, noise protection and air pollution control systems, as well as modern firing systems and drive units.
  • We are clearly taking advantage of automation, digitalisation and new technologies such as AI.
