We have been a family business since our foundation in 1961. We are focused on long-term objectives, stability and cooperation. The sustainable safeguarding and further development of our company – geared towards future generations – is our top priority.
This long-term corporate strategy, together with our clear values and a defined mission statement, forms the basis for all our business decisions and is also reflected in our corporate structure.
Organisation and Management Structure
- The owners of the EGGER Group are essentially private foundations of the Egger family.
- In terms of company law, the EGGER Group has a corporate group structure. EGGER Holzwerkstoffe GmbH acts as the parent company.
- A management team (= Group Management) guides the fortunes of our Group. The supervisory board advises them on strategic matters. Divisional and plant managers are responsible for individual plants, regions and product groups. These functional management teams each consist of one person responsible for technical/production, sales/marketing, logistics and finance/administration. The Building Products Division is the only one with a CEO structure.
- In addition, there are corporate services managers for the areas of technology, production, purchasing, marketing, communication, sales controlling, IT, logistics, human resources, accounting, treasury, legal and tax. These support our Group Management and local units, define Group standards and organise benchmarks and audits.
Supervisory Board
Our supervisory board acts as a strategic body. The members of this supervisory board are Univ.-Prof. Dr. Ewald Aschauer, Dr. Robert Briem, Fritz Egger, Walter Schiegl, Michael Stiehl and Alfred Wurmbrand.
Group Management
Our Group Management is responsible for the operational business of the EGGER Group and consists of Thomas Leissing, Frank Bölling, Michael Egger Jr. and Hannes Mitterweissacher. Further information on the members can be found here.
Control mechanisms
We have an internal control system to support the cost-effectiveness of our operational processes and to ensure the reliability of our financial reporting and compliance with the relevant legal requirements. As part of the Group audit by the chartered accountant, one division is analysed in detail each year.
In the interests of continuous improvement of our process structure and process optimisation, we also conduct regular internal audits. In these audits, members of operationally collaborating structures audit and monitor their colleagues in other operational units.
Auditors
The consolidated financial statements of EGGER Holzwerkstoffe GmbH for the 2023/24 financial year were audited by KPMG Austria GmbH Wirtschaftsprüfungs- und Steuerberatungsgesellschaft, Innsbruck, and received an unqualified audit certificate.
