Frequently asked questions about the application process (FAQ)

1) What do I need to use the EGGER application portal?

Use any browser that supports inline frames, such as:

  • Internet Explorer
  • Firefox
  • Apple Safari
  • Google Chrome

Deactivate the pop-up blocker.

2) I have forgotten my user name and password or they are referred to as being wrong. How do I proceed?

The user name is the e-mail address you entered during registration. You chose the password yourself when registering. If you have forgotten your password, you can request a new one here. It will be sent to your e-mail address and is valid for 7 days. If you have requested a new password, please ensure that you first delete the Internet cookies before using the new password.

3) I cannot log in because of too many wrong attempts. What can I do?

In this case, please contact bamboo HR or the person indicated in the job posting. In order to unlock your profile, we need your e-mail registration address and full name. Please note that it is not possible to apply via e-mail directly.

4) My e-mail address has already been used but I have not applied or registered on EGGER online before. What do I do now?

If you have previously applied using this e-mail address via our application system, your e-mail address has already been assigned and is therefore blocked. If you have in the past sent us an application by post or e-mail specifying this address, it is now also registered with us. Request a new password here and log in to our application portal. There you can edit your profile or apply for vacancies. We look forward to receiving your application!

5) I click on "To job search" or "Apply" and the window does not open. Which settings do I have to change?

Reload the page or try going directly to our bamboo HR listing. Please deactivate your pop-up blocker and try again.

6) What do I do if the system crashes before I have completed my application?

Do not worry, your data is not lost! The data you enter is saved up until the last click on "Next Step". Please log back into the application portal to complete your application.

7) Which documents should I prepare in advance? What do I have to consider when uploading my documents?

You can upload the following documents during the application process: covering letter, CV, certificates and completed application files. The following file formats are allowed: .doc, .docx, .gif, .jpg, .pdf. The size per file is limited to 10 MB. Please do not upload more than 10 documents. Where possible, we prefer one combined PDF file containing all your documents.

8) How will I know if my application has been received?

After having sent the application you will receive an e-mail with confirmation of receipt. When you have completed the application process, you can view your data.

9) How can I get information about the current status of my application?

In your personal profile, you can have a look at the status of your application. Please log in to receive an overview of your existing applications at EGGER. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us directly. Your respective contact person can be found in the footer of the invitation to apply. Of course, we will keep you informed during the entire recruitment process and about further steps – individual contact with you is very important to us.

10) If I do not get the job I have applied for, will I be considered for future job postings?

If you choose to release your profile, you will have been registered for our talent pool, which means that you can be considered and contacted for job opportunities which match your profile in the future. However, we always advise you to apply for those roles you are interested in when they are advertised. If you complete an application for a job posting and are only interested in this position, you do not need to release your profile. In case of speculative applications, however, this release is important.
If you do not wish to be considered for other positions, you can always block or delete your profile.

11) How can I edit my application profile after I have submitted it?

Via “Edit profile”, you may keep your profile up to date, add information, or upload additional documents, such as transcripts and other documentation.

Please log in to our application portal to edit your profile, view your existing applications, and manage your job favourites.

12) How long will my data be saved on your system?

Your data is saved in our system for 2 years. This period starts again every time you update your profile. You will receive an e-mail from us prior to the deletion of your data. If you do not update your profile then, it will be deleted.

13) Who can I contact to ask about my application or discuss any problems I am experiencing?

  • With which data entry do you have problems?
  • What error message is displayed? 

If possible, please send us a screenshot in your e-mail. We will, of course, handle your questions as quickly as possible. Please note that you cannot use this e-mail address to send applications.
