Implementation and reporting
Our sustainability management and sustainability reporting follow a fact-based, Group-wide approach. We have set ourselves ambitious goals in each of our strategic focus areas. Since 2018, we have been reporting transparently on the status of target achievements in our annual sustainability report in accordance with internationally recognised reporting standards. Our reporting is subject to an external audit.
This allows:
- Systematic consideration from different points of view
- Targeted identification and treatment of the thematic areas
- Consistent management of our services for the environment and society
This prevents:
- Greenwashing
- Unique lighthouse projects that do not reflect our comprehensive, Group-wide approach
Our strategic priorities
We place our strategic focus in sustainability management on these five priority fields of action: good jobs (SDG 8), green industry (SDG 9), circular economy (SDG 12), climate action (SDG 13) and sustainable forestry (SDG 15) . These are not the goals that are easiest for us to achieve, but those where we can make the greatest contribution. After all, our aspiration is a future worth living in. We want to make sure that future generations can also live and work sustainably with our products.
